Working With Children Check

Football  NSW has changed their requirements for the Working With Children Check (WWCC) for the 2018 season.

Whilst it is not a NSW legal requirement Football NSW has mandated that ALL Coaches & Managers for the U6 to U18 age groups must have a WWC check.

Even if you are coaching or managing a team with a close relative (son, daughter, niece, nephew etc.) in the team you need a WWCC.

If you are thinking of coaching or managing a team in 2018 can you please obtain a WWCC as soon as you can.

WWCC’s are free of charge for coaches and managers as you are un-paid Volunteers.

Wakehurst FC has to verify your WWCC on-line and keep a register of all coaches and managers WWCC numbers.

This is a large administrative task that we need to spread over the next 3 months and NOT try and do in the last week of March just before the season starts.

You apply for a WWWC online at https://wwccheck.ccyp.nsw.gov.au/Applicants/Application.

As part of the WWWCC Application you have to prove your identity at a Service NSW centre.

There is one at 114 Old Pittwater Road, Brookvale and one at Warriewood Square in Warriewood.

You can find other centres at www.service.nsw.gov.au/service-centre.

Please ensure that the name you use in your Application is exactly the same as the name on your proof of identity e.g. NSW Driver’s License.  The website lists other acceptable proof of identity documents.

You will receive an E-Mail with your WWCC number.

To enable us to verify your WWCC number can you please E-Mail to me ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ):-

a) The name used in your Application
b) Your WWCC number
c) Your Date of Birth

As in previous years you will also have to register on www.myfootballclub.com.au as either a Coach or Volunteer (Manager).

Thanks for your help with this task.

Kind regards,
