2020 Registrations Now Open

Online registrations for the 2020 season are now open.

2020 has arrived and so it's now time to prepare for the 2020 season.

We are looking forward to a full season on the Lionel Watts 3, 4 and 5 synthetic turf pitches.
Online registrations for the 2020 season are now open.
As with last year we need  ALL  players, coaches & managers to  Register AND Pay Registration Fees Online  at
There is no cost or fee to register as a Coach or Manager, it is free.
Please carefully read the instructions (below) before registering on-line.
For U6-U18 players you should obtain an "Active Kids" voucher for $100 from Service NSW before registering online.
Please read the Service NSW Active Kids Voucher instructions (below).  The system opened online on the 1st  January.
There will be lots of people trying to obtain vouchers and then trying to register online so there could be delays.   Please be patient!
The Football Federation Australia ‘PlayFootball’ national registration system will be used again for the 2020 season.

A few key points are:

  • If you didn't play last year then you must create a new account in the Play Football system
  • Families can create an account first and then link all their children to this account
Instructions on how to register in the "Play Football" system can be found below.

The Play Football system requires ALL players, coaches, and managers to upload a current, passport-size and quality photograph when you register online.

Please ensure you upload a new photo when you register online.

Make sure your photo is recent and appropriate. Registrations with inappropriate photos will be rejected!

Photos must be a passport-style photo from the shoulders up, on a plain background, with no hats, sunglasses or prescription glasses unless the player needs these to play the game.

If glasses are needed to play the game, then they must be approved sports glasses.

Any new players to Wakehurst FC, from Under 10 and older, must send Proof of Age (photo or scan of Passport or Birth Certificate) to our Registrar at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

The Play Football online registration system is loaded with our 2020 Playing Fees.  When you enter a valid Voucher Number on the payment page the fees are automatically reduced by $100.
For example our U6/U7 Fees are $190.  When you enter a valid Voucher Number you will be asked to pay only $90 online.
Please make sure your E-Mail address is correct as this is the primary form of contact the club will use to communicate with you.
Our Information Day, for U6 and other new players, will be at the Lionel Watts Club House on Sunday 2nd  February from 10:00-2:00 pm.
As in previous years the MWFA will run Girls WU8, WU9 and WU10 competitions.
These age groups will proceed provided sufficient players register and these games will be played on Sunday morning.
Two other important changes to the MWFA competition in 2020 are:
  1. The Women's Premier League is back to a Firsts/Reserves squad based competition
  2. The Women’s WU18/1 competition, like the Men’s U18/1 competition, will be played on Friday nights
